Designer skinny jeans are now a Wardrobe Staple. (As every fashionista knows, Wardrobe Staple comes above New Season Must-Have but below Design Classic in the wearability stakes). Skinny designer jeans NEVER go out of fashion (okay, not strictly true. And skinny designer jeans are still going strong - it doesn’t matter how many times we’re told that this season it’s designer snow wash jeans, or designer floral jeggings, when you know you want to make a fashion impression and be comfortable in what you’re wearing, designer skinny jeans always fit the bill. Just make sure you wear your designer skinny jeans with some sexy heels and a boyfriend blazer or something sharp shouldered, or blaze a trail with the new denim-with-denim look (though avoid denim-with-denim-with-denim, that’s just too… S/S 2011). Whatever you do, avoid wearing with fake Uggs and a market-stall “homage” Burberry jacket unless you’re channelling Whitney from Eastenders. (I see it now for A/W 2012, “Whitney chic”.)
