The gorgeous Giles Deacon corrrespondence cards at Smythson went on sale yesterday - and they are already showing as out of stock. They were sold in boxes of 10 stunning note cards, decorated with pen and ink drawings of haut couture fashion gowns. These correspondence cards were produced in a limited edition run of only 300 so it’s not surprising they sold out so quickly.

There were five stunning Giles Deacon designs, with each box containing two of each design, plus hand tissue linked envelopes in two colours from black, grey, bright pink, yellow and lime green. Oh dear, I’m just making things worse aren’t I.

I loved the Nancy handbag (also half price in the Smythson sale), though I do prefer the Maze bag, which I think is more elegant and won’t date (remember that cost per wear designer shopping justification, ladies). I still think the Maze handbag looks like a chocolate, but a very elegant, expensive, grown-up chocolate (we’re talking Godiva, not a Quality Street noisette triangle).
